“The U.S. Air Force regularly deploys fifth-generation fighters, including the F-35A Lightning II, to the European theater to conduct training with partners and allies, deter adversaries, and demonstrate U.S. commitment to regional security. In late May 2019, the USAF deployed one squadron of F-35s to Europe as part of a Theater Security Package. The aircraft, Airmen and associated equipment are deployed from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The TSP will operate out of Europe for several weeks.”
