African Lion 23 is U.S. Africa Command's largest, premier, joint, annual exercise hosted by Morocco, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia. The African Lion exercise is one of many annual exercises and exchanges that the Utah National Guard will support this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its State Partnership Program with Morocco. Primarily supporting June 4-18, the UTNG is sending personnel from the 151st Air Refueling Wing; 151st Medical Group; 1st Battalion, 145th Field Artillery Regiment; 1st Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment; 128th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment; and 23rd Army Band; with additional support personnel from both Air and Army components.
