The U.S. Army conducts Global Defender 22 from April - September 2022 in two phases at CONUS-based training locations as the Army's premier readiness and modernization exercise for FY22. Phase 1 consists of associated CTC rotations, a corps' Warfighter exercise, and an Air Defense Artillery Roving Sands exercise where units and Soldiers will use modernized equipment, and is led by U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM). Phase 2 consists of several modernization-focused exercises and ends with Project Convergence 22 (PC22); and is led by U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC).
