      The first KC-46A Pegasus was delivered to the U.S. Air Force on January 25, 2019. The Air Force and Air Mobility Command introduced the new aerial refueling tanker at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, in a ceremony hosted by the 22nd Air Refueling Wing.

      Maritime forces from Great Britain, France, Australia and the United States are participating in exercise Intrepid Sentinel. The multilateral exercise is designed to increase interoperability between the four nations and reduce response time to establish a coordinated international maritime coalition with in order to counter the complex challenges in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.

    • Catalina Island Airport in the Sky

      The Catalina Island Airport in the Sky project is a partnership between 3rd
      MAW, US Navy Seabees, and the Catalina Island Conservancy to repair their
      aging runway on Catalina Island. The project will run from December 2018
      through March 2019. It provides Marines with a unique training opportunity
      to conduct valuable, real-world training while providing a service to the
      local community.
