Ssang Yong, meaning "twin dragons," is a regularly-scheduled combined amphibious exercise conducted by Republic of Korea and U.S. Navy and Marine Corps forces. The exercise strengthens the ROK-U.S. Alliance through bilateral, joint training, contributing toward combined amphibious capability in defense of the Korean Peninsula and security throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
ARDENT SENTRY 14 is a Joint Exercise Program NORAD and USNORTHCOM Tier 1
exercise event, supported by the Joint Staff J-7.
It is conducted primarily as a Command Post Exercise with supporting Field
Training Exercise elements focusing on Defense Support of Civil Authorities
