Commander U.S. 7th Fleet will be sending ships and Sailors to participate in the International Fleet Review 2016 (IFR 16) being held off the coast of India, 4 – 9 Feb 2016. IFR 16 is an international military exercise and exhibit hosted and conducted by the Indian Navy on behalf of the President of India. Many leading nations of the world use the opportunity provided by the fleet Review to enhance mutual trust and confidence with their maritime neighbors and partners by inviting their ships to participate in the review. IFR-16 will be the largest review ever conducted; the most recent IFR was conducted in Mumbai in 2001.
