Exercise Palau 2019 is a U.S. Army security cooperation and humanitarian assistance exercise conducted by United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). The exercise is conducted at the company level focusing on building readiness, developing partner land force capabilities and humanitarian assistance. The purpose of the exercise is to simultaneously strengthen relationships while demonstrating the U.S. Army’s resolve to support the security interests of allies and partners in the region.

KOROR, Palau - A light island breeze made heat waves scurry across the runway on Palau International Airport’s runway, as two C-130 Hercules troop carriers touched down to mark the the beginning of Exercise Palau April 13, 2019. Approximately 150 Soldiers with a variety of skill sets will be on the remote island for the next week, which is the largest U.S. military presence since 1982.
