This identity design was created for the 5th Space Launch Squadron at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., July 27, 2019. The graphic’s purpose is for the unit to use across social media platforms and unit morale functions. The 5SLS’s unit mascot is the Dragon for which the design is centered around. The blue and orange colors were used to represent the sky, water and the flame color of a rocket’s booster. On the side of the dragon’s face is a delta symbol arching upward representing the various launch vehicles used to reach orbit. The star at the bottom is a cohesive symbol used across all units in U.S. Space Command representing the space domain. (U.S. Air Force graphic by Staff Sgt. Dennis Hoffman)
