Approved design for the 5th MPAD Ghost Writer challenge coin.
The front of the coin shows the Ghost Writer logo over top a globe, signifying the unit and its ability to deploy anywhere in the world. It is encircled by gold ring representing it's affiliation with the U.S. Army.
The back of the coin shows the Army Public Affairs emblem over top the state of Washington, representing the unit's role as a public affairs unit and it's home station located in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The back is encircled in green, representing the public affairs mission.
The back also contains the words "Presented for Excellence," flanked by the ranks of the unit leadership, signifying the recognition of the accomplishments of the awardee by the unit commander and first sergeant.
