Photo illustration of a Marine created in Adobe Photoshop to depict the operating environment of modern-day, cold-weather combat Marines. The Marine model was photographed in a studio equipped with a weapon and wearing full cold-weather combat uniform and gear; then, through use of Photoshop, the model was digitally placed in a snowy mountainous scene. Three different images of snow and mountains were used to create the full effect of the scene. Lighting and color adjustments were used for finishing touches. The image was developed as part of the Centennial anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve.
