Photo illustration created in Adobe Photoshop to depict the operating environment of modern-day, jungle/woodland combat Marines. The Marine model was photographed in a studio equipped with a weapon and wearing woodland combat uniform and gear; then, through use of Photoshop, the model was digitally placed in a wooded scene. Shadow effects and the use of a wooded backdrop were used to create the full effect of the scene. Lighting and color adjustments were used for finishing touches. The image was developed as part of the Centennial anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve.
