Logo design for Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps at Hill Air Force Base, UT. As a group of law professionals providing a full range of legal services for the Air Force and its Airmen specific to Hill AFB, design elements were selected to best identify their mission. Scales: leveled equally to represent balance and fairness in the weighing of evidence and justice. Hands Shaking: incorporated in with the meaning of the scales, the hands represent respect, brotherhood, professionalism and those things that embody good faith, trust and symbolic of oaths taken. Mountains: Hill AFB is nestled up against the majestic Wasatch Mountains and symbolizes the region as well as strength and fortitude. Consilium, Virtus, and Justitia: Latin for Wisdom, Valor and Justice, and is the guiding principles for JAG Corps. Colors blue and gold: using blue as a core element for the Air Force identity, gold represents illumination, courage and wisdom, as well as purity, achievement and justice.
