This ad was in support of USS Nimitz and informing the crew of proper sorting while underway.
The top of the ad shows Nimitz X5 which is a nod to Fleet Admiral Nimitz. The score 531975 is the date USS Nimitz was commissioned May 3rd 1975. The coin amount 68 is the ships hull number. The world 5-3 is another reference to the month and day of commissioning and the time of 540 is the amount of months at the time of the graphic Nimitz had been in Service.
The five pipes represent the five stars as well as the five clouds.
The 100 is the goal of all trash being sorted.
Super Nimitz is a 8-bit recreation of Fleat Admiral Nimitz himself in coveralls with tan command ball cap.
The color grey represents the "Haze grey and underway", while the green hill in the back is the clean land left behind when we sort our trash underway.
After this ad ran in the 68 magazine, Nimitz added two more bins for trash thus creating a more streamlined removal of trash on board Nimitz.
