The logo was created for branding and advertising the 2017 Air Show and Open House occurring at Joint Base San Antonio-Kelly Field Annex on Nov. 4-5, 2017. Air Shows allow the Air Force to display the capabilities of our aircraft to the American public through aerial demonstration and static displays. The concept was designed to display the history and legacy of military flight in San Antonio as denoted on the ribbon. The gold wings, red, white and blue banner are a combination of the Hap Arnold and Air Force Roundel. The components encompass the signature Alamo arch and city of San Antonio Skyline while the three aircraft silhouettes on the blue field mark the evolution of flight.
