The digital art was created using Adobe Software and the focus of the art is AF civil engineers were just beginning to enter the computer age with the Base Engineer Automated Management System or BEAMS. With the support of key civil engineer leaders, Air Force Civil Engineering began to remake itself, emphasize professionalism, improve operations at the base level, transform bases into efficient and attractive “cities,” and hone in on its readiness mission. It was created in May 2017 and displayed on the Air Force Civil Engineer Center website to commemorate the AF 70th anniversary. (U.S. Air Force Graphic by Greg Hand)
