March 13 is K9 Veterans
Day, commemorating the day in 1943 when the U.S. Army
began training for its “War Dog Program” also known
as the “K-9 Corps.” Today, military dogs are valuable
members of their units, completing a wide variety of
specialized and dangerous missions.
