Graphic caption: Soldiers from across U.S. Army North will compete in the ARNORTH Best Warrior Competition at training sites across Joint Base San Antonio in a myriad of warrior tasks and battle drills to earn the title of "Best Warrior" amongst their peers, May 10-14, 2021. The Best Warrior Competition is an annual event used to select the United States Army Best Warrior - Noncommissioned Officer of the Year and Soldier of the Year. The competition is held to reinforce fundamental soldier skills, promote esprit de corps throughout the army, and recognize soldiers who demonstrate commitment to the army values and embody the warrior ethos.
