211223-N-SS900-1001 PHILIPPINE SEA (Dec. 23, 2021) A flag created to represent a Recruit Training Command division sponsored by Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The design’s purpose is to be used on both sides of the flag the division’s guide-on carries. Elements representing Vinson are applied to the flag’s design: the command Flying “V,” the call sign of “America’s Favorite Carrier” into “America’s Favorite Division” and a portion of Vinson’s command patch to be used in the division crest.
