The 2022 Earth Month theme is "Invest in our Planet." Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar invests in the planet and in their surrounding community by harnessing on-site resources through a state-of-the-art microgrid system to allow operations at mission-critical facilities to continue during an emergency or blackout. Their energy security efforts demonstrates value beyond the installations itself, serving the surrounding community when needed.
