The Latin phrase, Semper Fidelis, means “always faithful” and stands as the U.S. Marine Corps motto. The phrase was adopted in 1883 by Col. Charles McCawley, 8th commandant of the Marine Corps and signified Marines’ loyalty to their country and Corps. (U.S. Marine Corps graphic by Cpl. Sean Potter) (Graphic designed in Photoshop)
