When Ens. Shanice Proctor graduated from Officer Development School in November 2021 she became a Navy Reserve Officer, but this was far from her first experience with the Navy. In her civilian career she is the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Technical Lead and a Peer Mentor. As the technical lead she often finds herself working with Sailors and their systems. In fact, it was this interaction that partially inspired her to join the Navy Reserve.
