Army Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta is the first living person since Vietnam to receive the Medal of Honor. He received it for saving his squad members during a firefight in Afghanistan and is an inspiration to Italian American service members across the armed forces (U.S. Navy Graphic by MC2 Zachary Bender).
