Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Carderock Division’s Platform Integrity Department in collaboration with Army & Air Force partners developed and tested the Charging-capable Li-ion Autonomous Safe Storage Inter-service Container (CLASSIC) – a standard-footprint container that safely transports, stores and charges Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries needed to support surface, air, and ground energy requirements.
