“I joined the Marines because I wanted to be a part of something larger than myself, I saw an opportunity to grow as a person,” said Loeza.
Being a part of the SMCR gives Loeza and other Marines the opportunity to be a part of the Marine Corps community while maintaining careers and studies in their off time.
“My experiences in the Marine Corps have given me the foundations to succeed as a full-time student,” said Loeza “Compared to those who haven’t served, I find myself more disciplined in regard to time management and doing my assignments with care.”
Stay tuned to see the Renowned Reservists training as a part Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) 25 in the upcoming Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) this summer. ITX is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures. The exercise also acts as a mass mobilization rehearsal for the Reserve units and enhances the total Reserve force readiness to rapidly deploy when called.
