Reutilization
The process of identifying and redistributing excess military property to other authorized military units enabling cost savings and resource optimization.
Transfer
Once Disposition Services has determined that there is no need for the property within DoD, the agency reports the property to GSA for transfer to another federal agency. These agencies are transfer customers.
Donation
The provision of surplus military property to eligible entities outside the DoD, such as state and local governments, law enforcement agencies and nonprofits supporting their missions and enhancing civilian capabilities.
