This graphic was created for the 92nd Air Refueling Wing on September 29, 2023. This graphic was created in Adobe Illustrator and used as nose art for a 92nd ARW KC-135 Stratotanker. This graphic is based on the original "Lilac Princess" design and combines the historical nose art of 92 ARW's first KC-135R with the historical emblem of the 141st Air Refueling Wing known as the "Ace of Spades." The additional purple lilac on the princess denotes the second version of this artwork and the growth of Team Fairchild's relationship with the City of Spokane. The six stars are taken from the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency seal and denote the "six articles of the Code of Conduct, which stand as the guiding light to help the US Warriors navigate the dangerous territories of SERE towards ultimate recovery." The red and white dress of the Lilac Princess allude to the 509th Weapons Squadron emblem colors. Finally, the legacy of Spokane's pioneer aviators are captured with the name of the flagship - "The Spokane Sun God III." (U.S. Air Force graphic by Airman 1st Class Morgan Dailey)
