National American Indian Heritage Month recognizes the contributions American indigenous peoples have made culturally and to our military, like those of Medal of Honor recipient Master Sgt. Woodrow Keeble. Keeble served in World War II and returned to duty for the Korean War, where on October 20, 1951, Keeble singlehandedly eliminated three enemy pillboxes, allowing his unit to capture a critical position.
