Lt. Cmdr. Jon Paris, damage control assistant aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) has written five short stories published by either the U.S. Naval Institute (USNI) or the Center for International Maritime Security (CIMSEC). Three of his stories – “The Lost Fleet,” “Task Force Foo Fighter” and “Kraken” – have been submitted in a joint fiction writing contest held annually by the two organizations.
