In 1973, eight women were selected to begin training as naval aviators, triggering a landslide of events that changed the landscape of naval aviation. One year later, six of those eight, called "The First Six", earned their Wings of Gold. Since then, naval aviation has expanded its roles for women to lead and serve globally. Lt. j. g. Bailey Bliss, an E-2C Hawkeye naval fight officer attached to Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 116 is featured in this graphic published in the March 19, 2023 issue of SixEight Magazine.
