230401-N-TY704-1001 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 1, 2023) A photo illustration celebrating the 130th chief birthday on Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Black and white contrasting photos of chiefs at their frocking ceremonies and leading in their every day jobs are backed by blocky paper cutouts and outlined in a light cerulean blue strokes to highlight different aspects of being a chief. The blue color choice represents steadfastness and trustworthiness, which are the qualities of a chief who follows the Navy’s core values of honor, courage, and commitment. Vinson is currently underway conducting Tailored Ship’s Training Availability/Final Evaluation Problem certification.
