This series of posters are representative of the Tuskegee Airmen, the group of African American military pilots (fighter and bomber) and airmen who fought in World War II. They formed the 332nd Fighter Group and the 477th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces. The colors and themes of these posters reflect the WWII era, as well as the colors found on the planes that these pilots flew. The information in this poster details the life and accomplishments of Della “Maw” Hayden Raney. (U.S. Air Force Graphic by Alex Stevenson)
