The 341st Medical Group is responsible for all medical and dental care for nearly 15,000 beneficiaries throughout north-central Montana. The group’s mission is to maximize nuclear surety by optimizing 341st Missile Wing personnel health, wellness and readiness through comprehensive managed health care systems emphasizing health promotion and preventive medicine. The significance of this symbol is that blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The stars indicate the unit’s predecessor and the Wing’s support of the Air Force mission of air defense. The winged hilt symbolizes the unit as an air arm in the total national defense. The lightning bolts indicate the speed and striking power of the Wing in the defense of peace. (U.S. Air Force Graphic courtesy of the U.S. Air Force Institute of Heraldry)
