The mission of the 341st Security Forces Group is to protect and defend Malmstrom's intercontinental ballistic missiles, Airmen and families. The significance of this symbol is that blue alludes to the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow refers to the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. The stars indicate the unit’s predecessor and the Wing’s support of the Air Force mission of air defense. The winged hilt symbolizes the unit as an air arm in the total national defense. The lightning bolts indicate the speed and striking power of the Wing in the defense of peace. (U.S. Air Force Graphic courtesy of the U.S. Air Force Institute of Heraldry)
