The F-35 is the second fifth-generation fighter to enter U.S. service and Luke Air Force Base got its first fighter on March 10, 2014. We celebrated the 10th anniversary of having our first F-35 Lightning II this year. Since 2014, Luke AFB has been at the forefront of F-35 training, shaping the next generation of elite fighter pilots. (U.S. Air Force photo illustration by Denise Lewis)
