Sgt. Vera Lukash has shown the ability to operate at a level much higher than her current grade as an E-5. She has single handily managed the shipping request and submission process for over 500 SMs in Task Force Spartan. Her work has directly impacted the task forces’ ability to move throughout the U.S. Central Command area of operations to complete their missions and exercises.
Lukash maintains her physical fitness at an extremely high level and motivates the rest of her section to follow suit. Beyond her importance to Task Force Spartan’s movements, she has been an irreplaceable asset to the Operations Section of Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 34th Infantry Division. Her positive attitude, willingness to help, and work ethic has positively impacted the Soldiers around her as well as her leaders. (Minnesota National Guard graphic by Staff Sgt. Mahsima Alkamooneh)
