This logo was created using vector-based graphics and techniques in Adobe Illustrator to represent the warfighting readiness capabilities at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in West Bethesda, Md., May 2024. It integrates the ship and submarine silhouettes featured in the NAVSEA Warfare Center logo, and uses blue to represent the Navy and red to invoke the sense of urgency and importance. Carderock is one of the Navy’s pre-eminent research and development facilities that specializes in critical ship design components headquartered in West Bethesda, Md. The Carderock Division supports small-scale model testing and evaluation of next-generation surface ships and underwater vessels. (U.S. Navy graphic by Kristin Behrle)
