What is hemp?
Hemp comes from the cannabis plant and may be found in everyday products like:
Hemp milk, yogurt, and coffee; Granola and energy bars; Over-the-counter supplements and protein powders; Lotions, soaps, and hand sanitizers.
Per DOD policy, Service members are prohibited from consuming or using products made from or derived from hemp, including CBD, regardless of THC levels (does not apply to durable goods like clothing). This ensures military readiness and protects the integrity of the drug testing program.
Always check ingredient labels! Hemp and CBD products are unregulated by the FDA and may contain higher-than-expected levels of THC.
