This branding/logo design was created for the contracting division of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District. The logo depicts the head on an ink pen with an Army star creating a negative space at the center; three blocks denote the battlement of the USACE castle logo to further symbolize that this is an army corps of engineers contracting office. The sinuous ink line at the bottom has a dual purpose of both representing the marking/signing of a contract and the flow of the Missouri River which flows through the district. The logo sketches played with the idea of castles (USACE) and pens, quills, letters, etc. Sketched were rendered in Adobe Illustrator as vector/archival graphics. The style guide for the logo depicts colors, fonts, and meaning of the logo. The branding campaign will comprise of digital and print usage as well as environmental graphics.
