VICENZA, Italy - Medical professionals from the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Southern European Task Force Africa, and Ghana Armed Forces completed a partnered medical training exercise in Vicenza, Italy on January 16, 2025. The training focused on enhancing interoperability, sharing best practices, and strengthening international bonds between the U.S. and Ghana.
Participants worked side by side on realistic medical scenarios, gaining valuable insights into each other’s procedures. This collaboration not only improved medical capabilities but also reinforced the importance of global partnerships in military readiness.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade serves as the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to U.S. European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed in Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains with NATO allies and partners to build relationships and strengthen the alliance.
