Winter activities are fun, but safety is key! Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs) can happen from falls or impacts, especially during winter sports or icy conditions.
Signs of a TBI:
* Headache, Dizziness or fatigue
* Nausea or confusion
* Blurry vision or trouble speaking
Preventing a TBI:
* Wear helmets or protective gear during winter sports.
* Move carefully on icy surfaces.
* Stay aware of weather changes affecting roads or slopes.
If you or someone you know may have a TBI, seek care right away. Contact your primary care team or message via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal for assistance.
