Graphic used to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the 196th Fighter Squadron and 163d Attack Wing, California Air National Guard. The 196th Fighter Squadron was established in 1943 and from it grew what is now the 163d Attack Wing. The blue and yellow colors, as well as the shooting star jet with canopy and wingtip tanks are design elements from the 196th Fighter Squadron's original logo. The arrows at left are from the wing's crest and are symbolic of jets the wing has flown over the years. The ten stars each reflect ten years of the wing's home, March Air Reserve Base, California, which celebrates its 100th anniversary centennial in 2018. This non-official logo was used on the wing's Outstanding Airmen of the Year banquet program and promotional material. (U.S. Air National Guard graphic by Senior Airman Crystal Housman)
