SAN DIEGO (April 07, 2019) Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Francisco held an Educators Orientation Visit (EOV) in San Diego the first week of April. The EOV is a Navy Recruiting Command program with a main focus of showing educators the various facets of the Navy and the many career paths available to students. Additionally, the group visited the Damage Control/Firefighting School at Naval Base San Diego, BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL) Training and Assault Craft Unit ONE (ACU-1) at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, USS Bunker Hill (CG-52) , and the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine, USS Hampton (SSN 767) at Naval Base Point Loma. Navy Recruiting Command consists of a command headquarters, three Navy Recruiting Regions, 18 Navy Recruiting Districts and eight Navy Talent Acquisition Groups that serve more than 1,300 recruiting stations across the world. Their combined goal is to attract the highest quality candidates to assure the ongoing success of America’s Navy.
