Marines serving with Alpha Company, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, identify possible enemy combatant role-players during a mission rehearsal exercise here, Aug. 20, 2013. The Marines landed by helicopter at night and quickly raided several key compounds to catch the combatants off-guard. The MRX assessed the Marines’ ability to execute their mission and coordinate logistics with their command element as they prepare to deploy with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit next year.
