    A coalition ship patrols the Central Persian Gulf in the vicinity of an oil platform, July 7, during Exercise Stake Net. Operating as part of Combined Task Force 152, Stake Net seeks to help ensure a lawful maritime order as well as improve relationships between regional partners. CTF 152 conducts Maritime Security Operations in the region to assist nations in their efforts to counter terrorism and terrorist-linked maritime criminal activities. MSO help develop security in the maritime environment, which promotes stability and global prosperity. These operations complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations and seek to disrupt violent extremists' use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material.
