Sniffing 'em out - 'Staff sergeant' Rambo, 48th BCT military working dog, is being considered for the U.S. Army's newest award for warfare.
The Combat Action Badge, or CAB, is presented, upon recommendation, to Soldiers who have been engaged in a conflict directly or indirectly.
Rambo, which he prefers, and his handler Sergeant Richard H. Miller were involved in an IED attack which resulted in their actively pursuing the suspected insurgents in a cordon and search mission.
"I'm proud of Rambo's behavior in that situation," Miller stated. "No one was hurt and we got out unscathed."
Miller is assigned to the provost marshals office, headquarters and headquarters company, 48th BCT.
