With the stern gate lowered on the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga, Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Clossin, Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel D'Angiolillo, Petty Officer 2nd Class Justin Proffitt, Petty Officer 1st Class Ruel Sagun and Petty Officer 2nd Class John Hastings take advantage of an lull in the exercise schedule break out their gear and try their luck during a rare "fishing call" in the South China Sea. Tortuga is participating in exercises for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training 2008. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and six Southeast Asian nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.
