Representative Scott Turner, Maj. Gen. John F. Nichols, Texas Adjutant General and commander of the Texas Military Forces, and Governor Rick Perry render honors during the entrance of the colors at the Texas Legislative Medal of Honor presentation ceremony honoring the service of Audie L. Murphy in Farmersville, Texas on Oct. 29, 2013. The medal, the state’s highest military award for valor, was presented to Ms. Nadine Murphy Lockey, Murphy's sister on his behalf.
