Spc. Lashonda Sparks, a medic with Company C, 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division from Charlotte, N.C., and Spc. John Allen, also with Co. C from Long Beach, Calif., search for any hidden wounds on a casualty as part of a training exercise at Fort Hood, July 21. 3rd BCT has been conducting a simulation of their upcoming deployment to Iraq since July 14. This event is designed to prepare their troops for real-life situations they will encounter while deployed.
