Airmen from the 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron conduct a foreign object debris (FOD) walk during the Blue Flag exercise at Uvda Air Force Base, Israel, Nov. 24, 2013. Under abnormal conditions and in an unfamiliar location, maintainers from Royal Air Force Lakenheath had to use creative thinking and adaptability to meet mission requirements. Blue Flag was a combined aerial warfare exercise, which promoted improved operational capability, combat effectiveness, understanding and cooperation between the U.S., Israel, Greece, and Italy. The exercise was conducted from Nov. 24-28 and further strengthened the long-lasting relationship between the partner nations, while ensuring regional peace and stability.
