Staff Sgt. Richard Dean, the non-commissioned officer in charge of the Heaquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, repair and upkeep section, builds the brigade's command center, July 29, 2008, during a rotation through the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La. Dean, a native of Portage, Ind., is in infantryman by trade but his talents as a craftsman have allowed him to work around his other passion for building and fixing all types of equipment within the brigade. Dean will be deploying for a fifth time when his unit is sent to support the efforts in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
